StudioIn the summer of 2007 we broke ground for the construction of my very long awaited studio! built next to and ajoining my home I share with my husband Michael, Lola the sweet rotty mix, Big Zig Nigg, the grey cat and still wild after 14 years, or so she would like you to think, Althea, the Alley Cat. It is 504 square feet, open 2 story space complete with a 3' high ledge of Kaibab lime stone running through the southeast corner that provides the restspit space; couch, water feature, plants, lots of sun shine, views of birds, stars, clouds and wild flowers. To see more images of my creative space click on the studio link. Click here to go to my Studio gallery page. |

TechniquesI learned to create stained glass back in 1996-7, not too long ago really. Copper foil technique was the first disipline I learned. Louis Comfory Tiffany invented it to create those beautiful lamps and scenics he is so famous for. The foil technique gave him more flexiblity with shapes of glass. Lead came can be quite unforegiving when it comes to tight curves and such. But lead certainly has it's place, Frank Lloyd Wright, mastered it with his prairie glass designs that graced his homes and spaces he designed with all of his heart and soul.
